Burn Ban Lifted on Oct. 24
The State of Vermont has officially lifted the statewide burn ban, and Brattleboro is following suit due to improvements in weather conditions.
Burn Ban Back in Effect Starting Sept. 3
Due to current weather conditions and an increased risk of wildfires, a burn ban is now in effect for the Town of Brattleboro until further notice.
Burn Ban Lifted
The Brattleboro Fire Department has lifted the burn ban, which became effective on Aug. 11.

Effective immediately, all outdoor burning is prohibited, including brush piles, campfires, and burn barrels.

The burn ban, which started in late July due to dry conditions, has been lifted as of July 27, 2025.

Due to current weather conditions and an increased risk of wildfires, a burn ban is now in effect in Brattleboro.

Burn permits will not be issued in Brattleboro at this time.
